On the 18th of October 2016 we are welcoming you in Rasnov, to celebrate the official opening of the SCHUBZ Romania Educational Centre for Sustainable Development. During the event, our partners, sponsors and representatives of the local community will experience together with pupils of the Peter Thal School elements from the educational programs developed by the team of the centre this year.

SCHUBZ Romania  is an initiative of  SCHUBZ Lüneburg from Germany and of the Mioritics  Association from  Romania, financed by the DBU (Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt). The team of SCHUBZ Romania is made of experts in the fields of environmental education, nature sciences and project management, motivated to work with children and teenagers to support a change in attitude and behavior, throughout the society.
SCHUBZ brings to Romania interactive and experiential educational methods developed and tested in Germany and in other countries where the contact with nature is an essential part of teaching for all ages (exploring and direct experience through synestesia, experimental labs for understanding the natural and economic processes, guided observations in the field using thematic trails, open classes in nature, using gardens as learning spaces) . The Centre also offers space for learning through practical internships for students and training seminars in the field of environmental education.

Partners who support and contribute to the development of the Centre are: Leuphana University from Luineburg, Germany, Transilvania University from Brasov, Babes-Bolyai University Cluj-Napoca, ProPark Foundation for Protected Areas, Rasnov Townhall, Piatra Craiului National Park Administration, Peter Thal School from Rasnov.
At the event there are invited the local autorities, local NGOs, Piatra Craiului National Park, local companies, representatives of local schools and universities. The representatives of SCCHUBZ Germany and of DBU will participate in this event.
